Add-on Updater and Windows App Essentials 22.02 released, suspending add-on releases until NVDA 2022.1 beta is published #addonrelease
Hi all,
Add-on Updater and Windows App Essentials 22.02 are now available:
- Add-on Updater 22.02: https://github.com/josephsl/addonUpdater/releases/download/22.02/addonUpdater-22.02.nvda-addon
- Windows App Essentials 22.02: https://github.com/josephsl/wintenApps/releases/download/22.02/wintenApps-22.02.nvda-addon
Highlights:
Add-on Updater 22.02: add-on update toast notifications should be localized now. In addition, this release requires NVDA 2021.3 or later.
Windows App Essentials 22.02: three notable changes, including requiring Windows 10 Version 21H1 (May 2021 Update/build 19043), announcing microphone mute status command in Windows 11 Insider Preview (Windows+Alt+K), and improved Notepad 11 status bar announcement. In case of the latter two, they will be part of Windows 11 stable release soon.
I’m also suspending add-on releases until NVDA 2022.1 beta 1 is released in order to focus on school. The lone exception is Windows App Essentials development snapshots, but even these will be limited to once a week for a while. As always, these add-ons will be queued for distribution, and once approved, Add-on Updater will check for updates.
Cheers,
Joseph
Cool, I have these now so I will archive them and get the updates when they appear.
